(CM--90) Stall selling Num Tok Phla (tilapia fish) at a market, Chiang Mai, Thailand. Chiang Mai has a great selection of markets that delight residents and visitors alike, one of which is Friday Morning Market. It is located behind the Kalare night bazaar and in front of the Chiang Mai Islam Mosque. This open-air market is crammed with farmers and vendors offering everything from fresh produce, spices, herbs and exotic fruits to whole birds and wild honey. Often the products found in this market are the local farmers' own harvests that offer a more authentic local shopping experience. Also there are stalls selling cheap clothes, accessories and souvenirs. Food stalls are also making the market a great place to have breakfast and lunch. Tilapia usually has thick flesh which are diced into chunky cubes, marinaded with hot spices, deep fried and served with onion, mint, dried chili peppers and chili powder garnishing.
